My name is Ruby. I work from a transpersonal psychology and social work lens, and have developed my therapeutic approach over years of practice experience within the mental health sector. I have a particular passion in working with the psychoactive (creative) spectrum, dependency, self-conceptualization, complex trauma, chronic stress and the exploration of fear/shame driven belief systems. I work holistically and person-centered with people - their body, mind and creativity - and consider all dimensions of health and their interrelatedness. Through my professional practice, I aim to hold space in the gaps I have recognized through not only my lived experience, but the experiences of the many individuals and groups I have worked alongside over the course of my career within the health care system. I am passionate about psychoeducation, and believe in empowering people I work with to create their own therapeutic practice to meet their unique journey's needs. I collaborate with health professionals from a wide range of perspectives, and I am an advocate for the recognition of spiritual health (belief systems and story telling) and its integral consideration when working with individuals and community wellbeing.
